Capstone Project: Designing for Defense

Army D4D Satellite

Collaborating with national security sponsors from the U.S. Department of Defense to provide technical and entrepreneurial fresh thinking to our national security issues.

Project goals:

  • Provide value to our national security sponsors through creativity and insight
  • Acquire unique, applied, and real-world experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and civil-military relations

Project Description:

  • Develop tools for the Space Domain Awareness Tools Applications and Processing Lab (SDA TAP Lab) to interrogate and evaluate targets in space for evidence of CCDM (camouflage, concealment, deception, or maneuver) from adversarial satellites.
  • Leading the development by providing Aerospace background and Computer Science skills necessary for the creation of our algorithm. Using Python, NodeRed, and AWS DOD cloud.
